Abhishek Singh's Masterful Creation:

Acclaimed storyteller and artist, Abhishek Singh, returns to the Festival to craft a monumental artwork during the event. Beginning his masterpiece on a 15 feet by 6 feet canvas on February 1st, Singh will diligently work on it each day, culminating in its completion on February 5th. This creation will stand as one of his largest single canvas works to date.

Singh, with nearly two decades of expertise, is renowned for his depiction of gods and goddesses. His graphic novels, including "Krishna – A Journey Within" and "Ramayan 3392 A.D " (with Deepak Chopra and Shekhar Kapur), have sold over half a million copies and have been translated into four languages. His impactful artworks have graced prestigious venues like the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), Asia Society Texas Center, and Middlebury College Museum of Art, among others.

Lado Bai's Ritualistic Artistry:

Inside the festival, a specially commissioned 8 by 12 feet Pithora by the acclaimed artist Lado Bai will be on display. This follows the location where the Vishwaroopa was showcased last year.

Lado Bai, a pioneer in Bhil art, has crafted a remarkable ritualistic Bhil artwork honoring the gods and elders of the Bhil Tribe. Using traditional techniques with soil, cow dung, and charcoal, her seminal work measures 12 by 8 feet. Bai's artistic journey includes close collaboration with modernist artist Jagdish Swaminathan, and her works adorn esteemed institutional collections globally, including Bharat Bhavan and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.

Recognized by the Government of Madhya Pradesh with the Shikhar Samman and Tulsidas Samaan in 2019 and 2018, respectively, Lado Bai is a recipient of the Ojas Art Master Artist award in 2017. Under Swaminathan's tutelage, she evolved traditional motifs into her signature style, using multi-coloured dots to create fluid wave-like formations, particularly evident in her mesmerizing depictions of birds in flight.

The Jaipur Literature Festival 2024 promises to be a convergence of literary excellence and artistic brilliance, where words come alive, and the canvas tells captivating tales. Don't miss this extraordinary celebration of culture, creativity, and intellect.
